For multinationals the small footprint combined with high melt rate is ideal when adding new product variations to existing production lines.

CLEANING & CHANGEOVERS

The melt grid can be removed for simple and thorough cleaning, whilst also providing open access to the tank and tank stirrer. The fact that the melters are self-contained and portable (unless requested otherwise) means they can also be wheeled to a washdown area if required.

  • PTL melters melt chocolate, compound, liquor, butter and fats
  • Used to melt blocks and – using a special device – melt buttons and chips thoroughly, all at high speeds
  • Self-contained heating systems, meaning they can be transported on castors
  • If preferred, we can use your existing hot-water system as the heating source
  • The bottom tank with its own heating system can be used as a storage and delivery tank for the next process i.e. it can be used to deliver directly to a temperer/enrober with a ring mains delivery to the use point, and a return line to a melter tank
  • The melters have removable melt grids for fast and simple cleaning and changeovers. This means you can process different masses on the same piece of equipment with minimal downtime
  • Double head units are available for higher melt capacity or can have a centre division for melting two different products

ONE TON BLOCK MELTERS

  • Melt one ton blocks of cocoa liquor, cocoa butter, chocolate or fats
  • Designed to melt product continuously, corresponding to downstream production rates
  • Rigidly constructed melting grid system for melting large blocks into a storage tank below
  • Combined with a loading system and a block inverter the loading of one-ton blocks is handled with safety and ease

The heating source can be one of the following:

  1. High temperature water boiler
  2. Steam with a heat exchanger
  3. Existing high temperature hot water ring main
